"Ruffle" yarn

Red Heart Boutique Sashay yarn (1 skein).....working this in single crochet x 6 stitches/row creates a more ruffled look but will take away from length.
Found a tutorial on Red Heart Boutique Sashay website that showed very basic simple knitting technique....so I tried it out! This made the scarf more of a spiral look rather than ruffled, but gave more length to finished project. Again just 1 skein used.

This was made with Premier Starbella Yarn 1 skein, single crochet x 3 stitches/row. I find working with Starbella was much easier and faster than Sashay, as it has a larger "weave" (holes within yarn) to it. It is a little more expensive than Sashay brand-but am pleased with results on both brands!

Finished favorites....

I made this white beret with rose colored embellishments....turned out really cute!

Brown beret and fingerless gloves with some bling! :)

Totally love this sweater/shrug-made with Lion Brand Homespun yarn making it super soft and warm!

Another Lion Brand Homespun sweater/shrug....wanted more of a sleeve so added stitches and more to length however when I stitched sides together, it ended up much larger than I planned! I guess it will make this sweater more cozier to wrap up in come Wintertime!

Me :)

Not quite sure to whom Rachelle is referring to as OLD....I know it's not me! :) The rumors are true....as of lately (almost the last year) I have been in a crocheting frenzy. Mostly working on scarves, hats and fingerless gloves as I prefer the "instant" gratification of completing a project anywhere from 1 evening to a couple of days-depending on my free time. Last month I got a part-time job working at Michael's....not quite sure how smart this is as the temptation to buy every skein of yarn plagues me with each day I'm scheduled to be there! lol So far I have been able to control myself fairly well, so that's a good thing! I figure my need for crochet comes from not acclimating to the Pacific-Northwest temperatures! Hubby and I moved here last year, and when "they" say it rains alot, boy are "they" not kidding! Should the sun be shining brightly for a WHOLE day, then I'm thrilled....but that doesn't really happen as often as I'd like! Anyhoo, will try to post pics of my favorite projects that I've done recently in the next day or two! ~ Sherri

Welcome to our blog!!!

Sherri and I have known each other since the 8th grade. That makes us really old. We've both been into craftiness and cooking, and share a love of crochet. I'd say that Sherri crochets WAY more than I do, but anyway.... I wanted to create a blog for us to share projects, tips, and photos with each other and whomever else wants to follow us. We might also slip in a post or two about random daily happenings in our lives that have nothing to do with yarn.....maybe a recipe or two.... who knows!

Happy reading!
